a conversation with the clouds is a cloud-watching game for when you would like a moment with the skies.

These moments with the clouds hope to encourage the act of noticing, being in the moment, imagining, perceiving, receiving, and listening to the world around you.

Funnily enough, it also encourages you to partake in touching some grass and small talk about the weather, but rather with the alternative of listening to the skies and small talk with the weather.

It is a break and a chance to imagine, to check in with yourself and with others. Some observation, reflection, introspection, imagination, appreciation, and potential creation. It is for when “how are you”s and “how are you doing”s are too much to answer and too little to converse about.

This is a small game adjustable to what’s available and accessible to you according to your capacity and energy levels, it can be played solo, duo, multi, journaling, and whatever you make of and put into it. You’ll need some form of access to the skies, Yourself, and company if you so choose. The types of conversations you feel like having with the clouds can be as various and ever-changing as they are.

With play and games, safety is important to keep in mind. Feel free to pause, stop, leave, and end the conversation at any point it becomes too uncomfortable, overwhelming, unfulfilling, or just because you want to. Some helpful tools you can use are Lines and Veils, X card, or a Reword card. You can also note what you enjoyed and would like in future conversations, ‘Stars and Wishes,’ to become more informed on how to make you’re experience more enjoyable to you!

The makings of this game began from the small moments I spend outside with the skies. As I was seeking to occupy my mind, I sought the company of the clouds I frequently appreciate, seeing what it would be like to converse with them and seeing what they had to share with me.

While I hope to continue working on this game, the main questions to play the game are available in plain text! Future updates will potentially and hopefully add to the experience and possibilities of interpretations and methods of playing this game along with some more visual aspects design, clouds l've seen, and examples to help provide sources of inspiration if needed! 

I hope this will ignite the beginnings of conversations with clouds in your day to day, your once in a while, or even bring about the continuation of such reminders for what you are seeking from these moments. Feel free to share the clouds you chatter with or enjoy the presence of and what they had to say in the moment!! As well as, what you and your cloud companions think of this game and the various ways you have gone about playing it!!
